Wedding Photography Terms and Conditions

Please find here on this page the Wedding Photography Terms and Conditions for Justin Blank Photography's Photographic Services as it pertains to Weddings, Elopement, Proposal and engagement and Reaffirmation photography.

Bookings

Your chosen event date will be held tentatively for Thirty (30) days, from the date that you receive your quotation.

Your booking will be deemed confirmed once you have accepted the Quotation, E-signed the Terms and Conditions and on confirmation of the paid non-refundable deposit for your booking.

If after 30 days you have not met the above criteria then your event date will be released and your booking cancelled. Exceptions and extensions may apply at the photographer's discretion. 

Deposits 

The deposit is to be paid within 14 days on the acceptance of the quotation. The deposit is non-refundable.

Payment Schedule

Full payment of your event photography is required at one (1) month (4 weeks) prior to your wedding date.

The Photographer reserves the right to cancel any or all services if full payment is not received in accordance with this clause. 

1. First Deposit: 14 days after the acceptance of the quote, 30% of quotation balance. (Non-refundable Deposit)
2. Final Payment: 1 month (30 days) prior to your event date %100 of quotation balance.

Cancellation and Postponement Policy 

All cancellations are required in writing. All deposits are non-refundable. 

Notice of cancellation within nine (9) months of your wedding date, 50% of the wedding cost will be charged. 

Notice of cancellation within three (3) months of your wedding date, 75% of the wedding cost will be charged. 

Notice of cancellation within one (1) month of your wedding date, 100% of the wedding cost will be charged. 

Postponements

Couples are permitted one (1) postponement of their wedding date, where the new date is within the same calendar year and agreed upon with the Photographer, pending subsequent event date availability.

The Photographer will need to be advised at least eight (8) weeks prior to the current event date of your preference to postpone.

Postponement advice less than eight (8) weeks prior may incur additional costs. 

Wedding Details 

1. All requested event information, including changes in location or schedules from the original booking, is required 1 month (30 days) prior to your event.

This includes, but is not limited to, combinations of friends and family groups photos and desired photography locations. 

2. Availability of photo tour locations cannot be guaranteed due to other events, maintenance, upkeep, weather etc.

However, every effort will be made to ensure your preferred locations are available.

The Client accepts the responsibility for any impact that their choice of time of day or location may have on the outcome of the photos.

3. The Client agrees to give the Photographer sufficient warning of key events at the contracted event enabling the photographer time to prepare e.g., bouquet throwing, cutting the cake, speeches etc.

Please note that not all guests at weddings like having their photos taken and, in such cases, the photographer will use their discretion but cannot be held responsible for a lack of photos of these people.

4. To avoid disruption to the photographic coverage and to allow the Photographer to fulfil their contracted duty, other photography by family and friends will be at the discretion of the Photographer.

5. The Client agrees to pay for any additional photography coverage and/or images requested by the client either verbally or in writing either before, during or after the event.

6. While every care will be taken by the photographer, no responsibility can be accepted by the Photographer for photos that may be deemed unusable due to factors such as visible bra straps and/or tan lines, make up issues, hairstyles, or you or your guests blinking, squinting, looking away from the camera, not smiling or walking into shots.

7. The Photographer is not liable to deliver every image taken at your event. The determination of images delivered to the Client is left to the discretion of the photographer. 

8. The final post-production and editing styles, effects, and overall look of the images including but not limited to image retouching are left to the discretion of the photographer.

9. Justin Blank Photography does not under any circumstances perform any cosmetic retouching (Photo-shopping) to any of your imagery.

Cosmetic retouching includes but is not limited to, skin, hair, make-up, body or facial shape, tattoos and/or wardrobe malfunctions.

The Client understands that extensive Photoshop/editing such as but not limited to the removal or addition of people and/or objects, including sky's for example, is not included in the package pricing.

10. The proofed images from your event will be made available to you within 3 weeks from your event. The final edited images from your event will be delivered to you within 3 weeks from the selection date of your final images unless otherwise stated.

11. Justin Blank Photography will endeavour to store your selected high-resolution jpeg files for a maximum of 1 year from the date of the client’s event. 

12. If a period of six months has transpired since your wedding date and you have not selected your photography package images then we reserve the right to choose, edit and deliver your final images.

13. The Client agrees to provide a meal for the photographer if the length of attendance at their Reception exceeds one hour.

14. All of the photos used throughout Justin Blank Photography's website and a majority of promotional material were captured by Justin Blank.

15. Justin Blank Photography will not supply raw (unedited) photos to any of our clients under any circumstances.

16. You understand that all images, negatives, footage and digital files and copyright of these images, negatives, footage and digital files will remain the joint property of Justin Blank Photography and yourselves the client and can only be reproduced for personal use.

If you purchase "Digital Files" from Justin Blank Photography, then the photographer grants you permission to share the images on social networking websites, with family and friends, and on vendor websites, if the images remain unaltered and have textual credit is explicitly given to the photographer.

If you wish to use these images in a commercial capacity, you must first obtain written permission given by the photographer. 

17. In the instance where you have agreed for imagery to be used for Promotional and Marketing purposes, you hereby assign the photographer the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of your event, for editorial, trade, advertising, educational and any other purpose and in any manner and medium; to alter the same without restriction and to copyright the same without restriction.

All profits that may arise from the use of images remain the property of the photographer.

18. The photographer will do their professional best to capture all requested images but cannot guarantee any shot list, a person(s), pose, style or verbally requested image.

Any list of images provided to the photographer will be used as a guide but requires you to assure all timelines and images lists are met, including but not limited to family and friends photos.
